Stickers make a statement, they really deliver the message. Cheap to produce , bright and vibrant they have high visibility and immediate impact. And whether you want to attach them to a lapel or a lamp post we have a version to meet your requirements.
A sticker is an easy and highly effective way to draw serious attention to your cause or beliefs. Whether your message is; political, religious, environmental , charitable fund raising, commercial, or to signal affiliation and support, a sticker really gets the message across. Because they are portable (and easily and quickly removed should the need arise) they provide high level saturation of your message in any location almost instantly.
Stickers have been around for a long time and have evolved from the sticky label, an idea thought up by advertising gurus in the 1880s to help fruit producers promote their fruit in a highly competitive market. To bring attention to their products instead of those of their competitors, they started to attach colourful paper labels to the crates. This was an instant success and quickly caught on. Labels were soon be being used by other suppliers to promote their goods. The rise in the popularity and availability of Henry Ford’s motor car in the 1920′s with the protective bumper gave birth to the concept of the bumper sticker as an opportunity to get what you wanted to say or promote seen by a lot of people. And this form of sticker has been widely and successfully used to make social and political commentary ever since.
In the 1930s a pre-pasted label was produced, but the real breakthrough came when R Stanton Avery, a rags to riches inventor and entrepreneur manufactured the first self-adhesive label. This had a special silicone coating that enabled the label to be removed and stuck to another surface. And the concept of stickers as we know them was born.
Modern materials and techniques have much improved the quality of the stickers available today – particularly ‘stick ability’, the ability to stick to a wide variety of surfaces with vibrant colours guaranteed to stick and not fade or run. Working from your design or specification we can create customised digitally printed stickers for any occasion : with any message you want – as long as its legal. With a choice of paper or plastic we can provide you with any shape sticker you want, and within reason, any size – think, lapels – think lamp posts- think lorries and buses.
Stickers are widely accepted as an art form in their own right, part of the post modern street art, also known as sticker bombing, slap tagging and sticker tagging. Typically this art form is used to draw attention to a cause or comment on a political issue. And stickers have a cult following, there are serious sticker collectors out there so who knows, your sticker may even achieve longevity as a collectors item.
